Dear List, The reason DBT translates symbols in words is because there is no grade 2 equivalent for them.
The way to work around this is to surround the symbols with the proper code. Route your cursor to the symbol, change the translation grade to computer braille and change the translation back to grade 2 at the end of the email address, web page, or symbols. This must be done BEFORE the document is translated into braille. The quick-and-dirty way to read symbols in untranslated braille is to route the cursor to the symbols. This must be done in text documents when you are just reading them. But if you want to translate and emboss the documents, then putting in the codes will make the document translate right.
