I'm afraid the reporter wasn't accurate enough. Braille letters and numbers might be confusing to a sighted person who doesn't know anything about braille but in literary braille the numbers are the same as the letters except for the number sign in front of them. Now, Nemeth code is another matter altogether and the article should have read "braille math" if it meant mathematics.
I think the studio broke California law when they refused to allow her to bring the guide dog onto the stage. A guide dog is allowed anywhere and everywhere. I like "Jeopardy" but it makes me feel so stupid. How do these people remember all that stuff?
