Saying a Braille display damaged files is like a sighted user saying
that the files were erased by a monitor.
The Braille displays an output device, it displays the information that
is sent to it by whatever software is involved, in this case, Keysoft.

Nope, sorry, this is most definitely a memory issue.  If it was a
display issue, I would have been able to see the data on my PC.  The
data was definitely gone.
