Dear Laura, When writing a text document using a QWERTY keyboard, the text is simply typed. The braille on the display will appear as grade 2. If you want to read email addresses in correct computer braille, you must use the braille translation menu to add the codes so the email address will appear in computer braille on the display. If you want to emboss the document, you must have these codes in the document so the email address will translate as computer braille and not be translated into grade 2.
I'm not sure how this is done using a braille keyboard, but if you want to read or emboss a document which has an email address in it, then you must be able to indicate the email address is to be translated as computer braille and not as grade 2. Usually, this is done before a document is translated into braille. This is true, whether you are using the BN or the full version of Duxbury or any other braille translation software.
