Tina, Dean jackson recommended the Pretec modem for dialup. I have that and I have an ambicom for wireless connection. I've used both and the Ambicom I have connected to a Starbucks public hot spot. I didn't do a thing. I was so shocked to be connected! <grin> I was low on battery power at the time as well. I've not done anything else since. Isaac
