I have two unrelated questions.
1. Regarding the USB connection on the PK: If i understand it correctly,
this will be a USB slave and will not have a controller. If this is true,
does this mean that we will not be able to use thumb drives (or other
portable USB storage devices) with the PK? This would be unfortunate, as
these drives are a great way to store and move files and given the loss of
a card slot, it would be nice to be able to use the USB port for more
memory capacity. Sorry if this has been covered previously but I didn't see
anything in recent messages.
2. Exchanging braille cells: I am wondering if dead dots (or cells) can be
swapped with working cells from other Braille displays? I realize that
there are different manufacturers of cells but the mechanics of the piezo
electronics are similar. If they cannot be swapped, is the problem an
electrical or mechanical issue?
