Hi Rhonda: Just a quick correction. You should not just press enter at the "replace" string unless you know for a fact that you have a blank field. For instance, let's say I've done a find and replace and changed every "Mr." to "Mister." Now let's say I wish to eliminate all of my format markers.
If I simply hit enter at the "replace" field, all of my format markers would be changed to "Mister". On another note, I don't believe that this particular symbol can be "replaced" out. I know of ways to search for other format indicators, such as new lines and new pages, but have never come across any way to enter this symbol. FOR future reference, if you do wish to enter a blank search string into the "replace" field, press space with dots 3,5,6 (blank) when pointed to the "replace" field. This will clear out that field. Note that this feature is available in ks 5 and up. HTH, Laura
