Interesting.
I received my Braillenote in June of 2003, so it had Keysoft 4.01 on it.
I do not recall being asked that question.

Subject: [Braillenote] setting up the default file type

when i first got my braille note as newly upgraded a year ago, i believe
the unit asked for the default file type. because I couldn't figure out
why i wasn't seeing any of my .doc or .txt files, i think i set it for
that default because any file i create is a .doc. this makes it
compatible with Wordpad. It is true that i could end up with duplicate
files if i didn't erase the originals, but i'm pretty faithful about
doing that.
