would that work with xp? when would you be needing the reader? I have a
Sandisk card of 512 megs but it just fits in BrailleNote-slot without
requiring a card-reader.

yes, the reader connects to the usb on the computer and the card goes into
the reader. I don't think the readers will work with windows95 or windows
3.1 though.
