Hi all, I'm hoping someone can answer another question about compact flash cards. I have one that I've been using in my BN for some time and managed to fill it up. I decided to move some of the files onto a second card and partially completed that process. In the meantime, I decided to transfer a file from my laptop pc onto the same card.DMy laptop has a pc card slot, so I inserted the card directly into the laptop to move the file onto it. When I did so, I got a message tell me that the disk was full and that I should click on "disk cleanup" to remove unneeded files. I discovered that the file transferred anyway, but I was worried about allowing my pc to "clean up" my compact flash card, for fear my bn files could be lost or damaged. Is this fear justified, or should I allow the pc to clean up the disk, or, better yet, is there a way to clean it up from within the BN?
I know that pcs need defragging, and the Braille Lite used to need to be cleaned up after you took a lot of old files off of it, so it seems logical that flash cards could need the same thing, but I'm hesitant to do it from my pc if it might not recognize braille files, for instance. Can anyone give me any advice on this? Thanks. Melanie Brunson
