Dear Dean and List, A while ago, you asked about patterns on the no subject issue on downloading email. I free up data space after every email cession and download email daily and I've never had that no subject occurrence, although i seldom have more than twenty email to download in one cession from the vn's address. However, something else happens very regularly. I receive ascii attachments on a regular basis to be downloaded on my vn. Usually the attachments are not larger than 1 mb, but I have received one of about 1 point 9 mb.
Almost in every email cession, it downloads up to a point and then sometimes stop bleeping and sometimes not, but when one requests progress, one finds that it downloaded say 35 percent and then just keeps on bleeping without downloading further, or freezes in silence without proceeding. Then i have to choose "Hang up immediately," but not disconnect, free up data space and again download, when it usually downloads further but not always. I sometimes have to try three or four times, but at the end, i always get it downloaded. Could something perhaps be done to prevent this freezing from happening? I have much space on my flash disk, as all these attachments are detached on a cf card. Regards Riana
