Hello Listers, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with regard to the joining
of a number of files together. I have quite a few books available on my
Braillenote, many of them comprise a number of files from the days when we
considered 100k quite a large file. When I have joined files in the past on
other machines, I have moved the cursor to the bottom of the first file, then
entered a "file insert" command. I would then be questioned as to the name of
the file to be inserted. having given this, the second file is joined on to
the end of the first. The process is completed until all the files making up
the book are joined into one large file. Is there such a stystem available on
the BN family. I have tried appending files to clipboard, however, there seems
to be a limit to the size of file this will handle. For example, I wished to
combine two fairly large files, each of about 1 meg. Unfortunately, no way
would the second file be joined-up in its entirety. Quite a lot was always
missing, though I tried it several times. Eventually, though I have no PC, I
had to do the job on another much older machine, and then transfer the large
file back. A very time-consuming job. Any ideas would be welcome as I seem
not to be able to trace any information on this matter in the manual. Don
Cooper.
