You can't do this with the present email client, but the option to
automatically check for new mail on a timed basis would really be a nice option
to have.
That and filtering.

I am wondering if there is any way when you have the e-mail client open for

to let you knowwhen there are more messages to be downloaded from the server or
better still, just to have them downloaded and make a sound like
Outlook Express does to let you know you have more e-mail.
although the email client is somewhat familiar to me, not all of its intricaces

there
is simply no other way to get the e-mail these days.
Thanks for any insight.
