I changed the subject to hopefully be a bit more relevant.

I almost never use the speech on my braillenote except for software upgrades
and a few other rare things.

I certainly don't thinkk less of those with a voicenote as that's a real part
of what it takes to provide the resources for my braillenote. It's great that
we can
have the best of both worlds.

The only thing I do wish is that the braille display more completely provided
info that is only provided with speech or tones. I'm talking about such things
as
resets which can be more difficult to perform if you can't hear the tone.
Also, some messages such as those relating to email are more complete and
useful
with speech than braille.

I know PDI has been made aware of these shortcomings and am confident they're
addressing them.

This is a list for the braillenote/voicenote line of notetakers, and that's as
it should be for a list maintained and moderated by Pulsedata Inc.

I really appreciate the fact that this list is here and that competent PDI
staff are monitoring and providing useful info for the use of these devices as
well as
listening to reasonable concerns and suggested improvements.

I hope they continue too!
