I would like to amend my comments about the BN and the cell phone combo. After thinking it over, I believe there should be a way to use the BN as a terminal braille display with cell phones which already have talking software in them. There are three reasons for my change of mind: (1) The BN/cell phone combination would be too expensive. (2) The cell phone companies always make changes to their networks and the talking phones become obsolete soon after they are made available to us. (3) It would be less expensive to offer a connecter so that those of us who use standard BN's could connect the BN with a cell phone than it would be for HumanWare or PDI, whatever they're calling themselves now, to make a BN/cell phone combo.
By the way, the talking cell phones are very expensive, and I'm not ellligible for a new phone until my contract is up. I don't know if the present promotion for free talking software will still be available when my contract is up. Terri Pannett, Amateur Radio call sign KF6CA. Army MARS call sign AAT9PX, California
