Hi. I think this has been addressed on severl occasions but not necly to my
satisfaction or understanding. I have a braille note 18 with a braille
keyboard, and I have a digital Motorola 120T cell phone. I went to Sendero's
booth at the California convention, because Mike May, its CEO is known to be
quite an expert in this area. That is, with regards to the braille note and
cell phones. He told me courteously but point-blank that this is a tricky,
time-consuming proposition to make this situation work. He said it's doable,
but it takes time, know-how and planning. Anyhow, does my phone have to be a
GSM model, and does anyone know if there's specifically a Motorola phone out
there with relatively large buttons that can be used with the braille note. He
said something about making sure it uses an infrared port and that I might need
some sort of cable. I would definitely try to test this at the phone store,
thouen now I bebbieve ATandT is becoming Cingular Wireless. Wouldn't this cell
phone option be good if wireless wain't available, and you wanted to ride in a
car and get online? Or if you didn't have wireless at home, just dial-up, and
you didn't want to plug a cable into your landline phone?
If anyone has any deqiled info, please help. Thanks in advance.
Nancy
