What version of KeySoft are you using?
It sounds like the keysoft.ksd file was lost from what you are describing.
This file holds most of the KeySoft settings.

what computer braille table I wanted, my preferred reading grade, and later
on, when I did my e-mail, it asked me for my name and e-mail address. Plus I
had to select the spelling dictionary again. What is going on? Is this a
