Hi Chris,

Can you tell me which operating system runs on your laptop?  TCP/IP stack 
must be installed and/or enabled differently depending on the operating 
system.  It's possible, especially with earlier versions of Windows, that 
TCP/IP has not been installed and/or properly enabled/configured because 
there is no network or PPP adaptor in the system using it.  Again, this is 
something you can infer from the Network control panel applet.
