Isaac, You can get rid of those line and paragraph markers by telling your BN to indent a new line with two spaces. To do this:
Go to the options menu. Go to Braille display options. Go down to "show new lines in reading mode as" and press the letter b. This only works in reading mode, where you use the thumb keys to navigate the file. This will also hide the cursor, which will show back up as soon as you get back into edit mode. To change modes manually, go to the options menu, go to "Braille display options", go to "Braille display mode", and then press [space with h] to see your choices. Reading mode does not allow editing, but all those markers go away. I hope this helps and makes sense.
