I have tried both. If traveling, you need to call their main tech support number and get a number for the city you are currently in, but it does work and you shouldn't have to change anything in your directory of services other than to say you are using the internal modem. I have set up one for the network card, one for the internal modem ald one for my cell phone through verizon.
I just pick the one I want from the directory of services menu and go.

I have sbc here but haven't tried the dialup as yet, I have dsl.

One thing to check though is your pop and smtp server names.

Depending on where you are in the network yours may be different, but mine are:

pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com and smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com and this is in California.

Further, you need to be sure you have authorization set to yes on the braillenote.

It's rather difficult to diagnose since neither of you gave detailed descriptions of your problem in connecting using the dialup.

I'll try to locate a dialup number here for sbc and see if I can get it to work for me. I've used other dialups before, so hopefully I can get the thing to work.
