Hi paula. No computer product can totally eliminate the risk of losing 
data. However yes, doing what you describe should substantially reduce the 
risk of losing data.

So, does this mean that I can leave the storage card in its adapter and 
just slipped into the side slot but not locked in place and that will 
eliminate the risk of loosing data? Thanks for clarifying.
