Isaac, It is all to do with the time zone and where you are living. When it is just gone midday in the uk on Friday 8 oct 2004' it is just gone midnight down under and is in fact Saturday 9 October 2004. New Zealand sees the sunrise first then a couple of hours later Australia sees the sun. etc. (by the time it reaches the Uk, it is worn out and somewhat watery) ouch I was only joking guys. Hth.
