Hi All, As some of you have probably heard me mention from other lists that we are on together, on my regular PC I use the Just Checking program from Brent Shelton.
http://pages.prodigy.net/bdshelton/jc_a.htm And, on the other device I use, I am able to open and read the checking/savings transaction files that program creates. But, with those files having a jck extension, I was afraid I would lose that ability with the PK. So, I was quite pleased when I was able to open and read my checking account file on the PK. Now, of course, I'm not able to run the Just Checking program unless I'm on the PC, but I am at least able to have all of my transactions entered into the program with me on the PK, which can certainly come in handy from time to time. Oh, yes, I guess one can also export that check register file to a CSV file and read that on the PK; however, seeing as I don't want to deal with that extra step every time I have checking transactions, copying the JCK version works just fine for my needs. And, then, too, my saved e-mails from Outlook Express, saved in EML format, also do read on my PK. Now, with these, one does get a lot of unwanted characters and all; however, seeing as I can go through and find the original message text, I'm happy to save these on my PC this way, and then keep them on the PK or a CF card for when I want to retrieve their contents just to read when I want to confirm info about an event/purchase or other e-mail transaction.
