Can you produce the "tab" character in a reply to this message? About your second question, I, too, have experienced such things in very large files. Your only solution may be to split it up into two or possibly three files, as I haven't figured out a way to get around this either. If it's 800 pages, I believe two files of 400 pages should still be manageable in terms of successful navigation.
