Hi all,

No!! No!!! This is disinformation! You will need a converter, but
you also need an adaptor, in effect a transformer! A converter is, if
you go to an airport store, merely a device for plugging in your
equipment to various types of electrical sockets. Be sure you *know*
what you're asking for, folks!! On the other hand, an adaptor is a
transformer that will allow the 220 volt current to be stepped down
for use in a BrailleNote that's been adapted for American/Canadian
current.

I discovered my error when I went to India. I bought a converter in
the airport in New York City, but what I also needed was an adaptor.
I bought one of those in India that worked over there. I'm surprised
that Humanware doesn't stock these or at least have a name and specs
for what is needed. In this day and age with people traveling all
over the world, it is necessary. Might I suggest that Humanware
remedy this lack, please! We need this type of information if we
aren't going to fry our delicate equipment. This info should be
clearly spelled out in the manuals and on the web site, like the info
about what cards are recommended.
