There is a setting in ActiveSync that allows files to be converted to various
types when transferring. These checkboxes need to be unchecked. Sometimes,
even after unchecking the boxes, they can end up checked again, for no apparent
reason. I am in the habit of making sure all the conversion checkboxes are
unchecked whenever I transfer files with ActiveSync. I usually don't have to
do this since I use a card reader and Compact Flash cards, this makes the whole
transfer process much simpler.

Subject: [Braillenote] coppying files from the pc to the bn

Good afternoon fellow braillenote users,
I'd like your assistance with a coppying issue. I copied a microsoft word
document from a floppy disk to the mobile device folder: And as a result, the
document is now converted to a pocket word document. Have any of you ever
experienced this before? If so, could you tell me how to move the file from the
mobile device folder to the general folder in the braillenote so that I can
read it
in keyword? Thanks
Mike
