You Need a null-modem cable, not a regular serial cable often referred to as a
straight through cable. I'm not sure if just any null modem cable will work or
not. You should be able to get one through radio shack, and possibly they
would let you return it if it doesn't work.

If you have the time, I'd purchase it through PDI to be absolutely sure you get
othe correct one.

Hi folks,

It appears that my serial cable no longer functions. Do I need to
do business only with Pulse data, to get a new one, or are they a dime a
dozen (or maybe twenty bucks a pop) at any old Comp USA or Office Max? I
seemed to recall trying to find one for another consumer, and they had to
special order it. And another consumer, who purchased one at such a
store, never got it to work.

I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks in advance,

Al
