Hi, Susie and List! When I download over 100 emails at a time, I tend to delete emails after reading them and then emptying the trash folder. It tends to free up some space for moving around in so to speak. Anyway, it does tend to speed the process up a little. I do not clear the database until I have read all the emails and emptied the trash, then free up the database. HTH
