Hi Folks,

Ok, here's a weird one! Would really appreciate a tip from someone who's
probably more of a networking guru than me!

I have a wireless access point successfully running from an Ethernet port on
a hub which is connected to my ADSL router and have been impressed at the
ease and speed with which PK has connected straight to this wireless point
no problem. Now, here's my problem. E-mail/Web worked on the PK straight
off, so I decided to see if I could use PK's File Manager to copy a file
from my desktop XP machine onto my storage card. I chose Browse Entire
Network from within File Manager and was able to locate a folder on my
desktop machine whose permissions I had set to share. I found the file and
copied it ok. The next time I connected to my LAN with PK, I noticed that it
had created a mapped network drive called SharedDocs, but if I attempt to
select this from within an application such as Keyword's Open dialog or File
Manager, PK claims that the network resource could not be found, yet I'm
successfully connected with PK to my LAN via wireless; I can see its i/p
address and its mac address in my router's network status info! It goes
without saying that the XP machine is logged on and also talking to the LAN
fine. So why does a previously created network place not continue to connect
in PK? And in addition, how can I remove a previously defined network place
from PK, equivalent to disconnecting a network resource in Microsludge
Windows speak? Any help gratefully received!

Cheers.

Paul.
