Sighted people do like things that "talk", but what they like more are
screens. Sighted people more than anything else are visual, if you
don't think so, try working with a sighted person when you use your
computer. In so many cases, their first reaction is to go for the mouse
like a dog for a juicy piece of meat. This is not a criticism of
sighted people, it's just that they cannot even imagine doing anything
non-visually. There are exceptions, I know several sighted people who
can use a screen reader with no monitor, but they are people who work in
the blindness field. No, the sighted would never flock to any device
without a display.

Wouldn't it be cool if the sighted got the Voice Note, since not many
know Braille? I have heard sighted people say they would love talking
stuff too and I have always maintained that speech helps us all, in
whatever product it is in. Sighted people have also complained about
how Windows operates, so they would love Keysoft. I'm not impatient re
future features but, as a business enterprise, why not market the Voice
Note, at least, to the public? That way, PDI would get more business and
more capital for R and D. Beth
