Hi everyone.

Today in New Zealand is a public holiday known as Queen's Birthday, for
our American friends quite similar to president's day. Each year at this
time, New Zealanders who have made an outstanding contribution in their
field are honoured in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

We're all very proud to have read this morning that Pulse Data's Chief
Executive, Dr Russell Smith, has been made a member of the New Zealand
Order of merit for his services to the blind and visually impaired.

Russell has been a leader and innovator in this field for decades and this
distinguished honour is a fitting tribute to the difference he's made to
the lives of the blind and visually impaired not only here in New Zealand,
but throughout the world. Congratulations Russell!
