Recently, when I had a reason to talk to teck support I mentioned that I ran the battery flat by exercising the braille display, the support person suggested that I run the battery down by using the option that basicaly says that "i'm talking until my battery runs flat. He suggested that it is less rough on the pins on the display because the pins are always moving at such a rapid rate. Another reason is that speech will run the battery run flat quicker. You might want to turn the volume down as not to drive you bonkers.

I sincerely hope that this helps. I used that process most of the time.

Hi all,

I started my BN exercising its Braille display last night when I went
to bed figuring that if it went all night, it would be drained in the
morning. Well, it wasn't! It went into sleep mode! How do I get
this little wonder to just keep exercising till it quits?
