Dear Will, Though it is true that a reset will fix this problem, it is never safe to do a reset while a flash card is inserted in either of the two drives, both the one at the back and the right hand side of the unit. Trust me, I have found this out the hard way. Also, if you ever encounter this problem again, simply exit to the main menu, remove the CF card from is slot, and reinsert it. You should then get the "card inserted" message from the unit, and it saves you from resetting your Bn/Vn.
