Not so.  If you have a Hotmail account, you may use this as your MSN 
passport to log in to Messenger, since opening a Hotmail account involves 
attaching a passport to it automatically.  Using MSN simply implies 
logging into it with a valid .NET passport.  You can create a passport 
attached to any valid email address if you want; though Microsoft does not 
advertise the fact well, it can be done, and this is what I have.  Go to 
passport.com for more information.  Creating the passport is only required 
once; a friend could do it for you, or help you, with his or her PC, or it 
may be possible (though I think it unlikely given the current browser 
problems) for you to do it yourself at passport.com with your BrailleNote.
