Hi Beth and All, I'm just learning with the PK myself. However, using the wireless network, I was able to access one of the Main Menu shows on my PC and then play it on the PK. I was further able to copy that file from the PC to a compact flash card in the PK, and then disconnect from the network and play that show on the PK from the file on my CF card. I'm guessing that most of the shows would be too large to store on the PK itself, but they can be played by putting them on the CF card and then inserting the card in the PK and playing them that way. ----- Original Message ----- From: "beth" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, December 16, 2004 9:30 PM Subject: [Braillenote] PK and audio
Hi, all. It is my understanding that you cannot stream on the PK, right? That means that you cannot go to a site, click on a link--like a "Main Menu" show--and listen--right? Okay, here's another question: Someone on the Friends at ACB list was for a while archiving "Main Menu" shows and he generously offered to E-mail them to people. As I was easily able to download and listen on my PC, I did not take him up on that but, if I had received one of his E-mails, would I have gotten a link to the show or the show itself? I suppose it would have been a link, not sure. What I'm asking is: Is there some way that a show could be E-mailed to a PK and played on it? If not, is there any other way of listening to audio using the PK? Thanks.
