Dianne,
I bought a 32 BT with upgraded mother board and 48 MB of flash disk just
under two
years ago. My major priorities then were:
Getting a note taker compatible with the Windows platform..
Access to the web

A Braille display

A Braille keyboard

Reading books using the Braillenote, thus replacing the bulkier cassette
player and
cassettes

My priorities have changed since then:

In addition to Getting a note taker compatible with the Windows platform, I
would add
compatibility with cell phone and PDA (mainstream) technology.

Security Package: password protected keyboard entry, and files, encryption
on files, Digital signature, and e-mail

More robust and user friendly network configuration

Access to the web: Here I would place a very high priority on a current
browser capable of accessing secure sites.

A Braille display

I would place a higher priority on a QWERTY keyboard, than a Braille
keyboard.

Reading books using the Braillenote, thus replacing the bulkier cassette
player and cassettes: Here, I would place a higher priority in handling
multiple formats like e-book, Audible, Daisy, and media player.

Sincerely,
Jerry weinger

Subject: [Braillenote] NOTETAKER PRIORITIES

Good morning,

In addition to purchasing price, what were your major priorities when
choosing either the VN or the BN? I'm really curious to know if yours were
the same as mine, and I'm particuarly posing this question now because it
may help you make a relevant criteria list if you're planning to shop at
either convention. I'll share my deciding factors after I've seen yours!
