I like the PK because it is so compact. Before I got mine, I borrowed an 
older one with the thumb keys, a nice enough unit, but it didn't fit as 
snuggly in a bag as the PK.

Both provide wireless connectivity; the PK does provide Blue Tooth which,
together with the new receiver, makes using GPS far more convenient by
eliminating the cable connecting the PK with the receiver.  I find myself
now using the PK most of the time and am seriously considering selling my
5.1.
