Will,

You can connect to the internet via infrared if you want to connect via a
mobile phone.

The configuration program I believe of which you speak, is the BNIP config
program for changing the IP address of the Ethernet adapter along with
relevant settings. By default, DHCP is enabled so as long as you have a
DHCP server on your network or a device that has DHCP functionality, your
BrailleNote should get an IP address as soon as you plug it into a network.
Therefore, you shouldn't need to run this program.

If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Subject: [Braillenote] e mail and activesync

hi

sorry for all these questions but even after reading manual i am really
confused, frown
i run my laptop off the local area network here at uni. can i use my
infrared port to get e mails in the morning downloaded to my braillenote
inbox to read on the move, instead of downloading them to my inbox on the
laptop?
if so, how do i do all that
i have used active sync before with my pac mate but with the braille note it
all sounds so complicated, grins
