Hi Leslie and All,

You know, that hard reset thing confused me when I first got my PK, and
still does to some extent. For, the manual talks about re-initializing the
memory; however, this doesn't re-initialize most of the settings you have
stored on the unit. You will need to reset your time and date, re-establish
an ActiveSync partnership if you had one set up and maybe reset some of your
wireless connections if you had set up any. But, best I can tell and
understand, most
other things seem to
stay the way they were before the 4 5 6 reset. For example, that reset
didn't help me with my corrupted planner, nor did it help me when I did
whatever it was with my email that goofed up my flash disk so badly.

Now, I certainly can't complain, as Dean Jackson was very good to help me
out of both of those messes I probably caused for myself. However, it sure
does seem strange to do a hard reset on a unit, and then not have it go back
to all of its default settings. And, grin, depending upon whether and how
much backing up one has done, and what one has done to the unit, guess this
can either be a good or bad thing.
And, although I certainly can't speak for Humanware, all I can figure is
that they wanted to have a reset to try and put things back to right again,
but without having the customer having to recreate practically everything
afterwards.

Subject: [Braillenote] PK: Reset Not Work

I am starting to read the manual third times. I press 456+C3+C4 as I
wanted my PK goes back to the factory default but not work. It works like
"restart".

The manual is not match to the PK. I am slight confused.

Tell me how to make PK back to the factory default? Is it bug!
