Hi,
When I am out and about with my PK, and want to see if there are any
whyfi networks, this is what I do. Turn on the Bn, and insert the card. I
then cord O for options. Next I type c for connectivity, and w for
wireless, at this point the BN will say "wireless on? You need to key a y,
so that the wireless will turn on. The next thing that the PK will say is
wireless menu. Now if you do a Cord dot 4 three times. You will hear scan
for wireless networks, press enter and it will scan and list the available
networks. Now you can choose one from the list if there are any. You will
press enter and you can configure it to use just like any other network
connection. I find that it works pretty darn well. I have found that there
a lot of wide open networks in my community. I find it kind of fun to go
around and scan to see what networks are available. I have also found many
that will show up. However when you go to connect to them they will
disappear when you try to communicate with it. I believe that this has to
do with the security configuration. Later

Subject: [Braillenote] WiFi travel procedure
Hi all, am upgrading BN and will use a WiFi card for future internet access
when travelling.
Could anyone please advise on the steps to be followed to locate a
provider/hot spot?
Are these readily available at airports/hotels do you find?
Thanks
Deon
