One more suggestion I have is to make *absolutely* sure that all the letters in the WEP key are in upper case. This has been the case with all the secure networks to which I have connected, and I have had no trouble getting my BN to connect.

I'm using WEP encryption with 128 bit encryption. The first thing that comes to mind is to make sure that the WEP encryption keys match and that you are using the same level of encryption and the same key (i.e. 0, 1 or 2). One of the things I did to help my issues at the beginning was to start with a 64 bit key which I made up myself using only digits. I then increased it to 128 bit also continuing to use only digits. The other thing to check is to make sure that your instructor is not using some kind of MAC filtering. If so, you'll need to add the MAC filter of your Ambicomm card to his acceptance list. IF you are using WEP , 64 bit , the key should be 10 digits long and for the 128 bit , the key should be 26 digits in length. Remember that the key can contain only digits 0 thru 9 and alpha characters A thru F. I'd be happy to assist if I can, contact me off list and we'll setup a time to work this out over the phone. hth Jeff Molzow [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
