Hey Laura, does this winsoc error happen to be number 10057? I get this every so often and the only way to fix it is to do a reset. I have asked several times just what exactly 10057 is, as when I do get a winsoc error, it's always this same one. I have never gotten an answer as to exactly what this particular error is, but I would like to and also get some tips on how to stop it. Sometimes I get duplicates, but not always.
Good luck with your winsoc deamon Richard > ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Laura Wolk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected] >Date: Tue, 5 Oct 2004 17:23:35 -0400 >Subject: [Braillenote] Winsock Error >Awhile ago, Sabahattin, myself, and a number of list members were involved in >a discussion about a reoccuring winsock error which caused the user to have to >disconnect the BN from the web, and, upon reconnecting, the BN did not >recognize the previously downloaded messages and skip over them as it normally >does, but begins redownloading duplicate copies of these messages. >When Sabahattin explained this to me I was a bit confused because, as he later >found out, the BN generally checks the headers of email messages against those >already stored in the inbox and, if they match, does not recognize the >duplicate messages.
