Humanware said somewhere along the line that this is a special CF card, and the contents should not be deleted.

It's a good idea to keep that card with the software in case of an emergency. Never throw away software back ups like that one. Computers and computerized devices can become tempermental, and when they throw a tantrum, boy can it be a doozy! The universe as you knew it could be totally gone. Now if you have that flash card with your information stored away, repairing it would be a lot less painful than having to send your unit away and wondering when it will reappear again.
