I guess one would need to ask them! They did say it would be easier for me
to upgrade to 6.1 since they sent me the 6.1 cards ahead of time. As I
mentioned in another post, my BN came in today so I will be tackling the
upgrade process shortly! This is for my unit and my wife's BN as well! I
got a card for each unit! My BN had 4.02 burned in and my wife's has
3.07. I understand the upgrade can occur with either version but one has
to approach things differently! I think too Humanware/PDI doesn't have
things in place to handle the upgrade yet so they burned 5.1 billed 22 in
my BN's memory! That's all I know about why they did what they did!

My unit should be shipped back to me tomorrow! They put in a new battery and
burned 5.1 into Rom. Oh Well! I parted with $182 on credit card. If
everything works as well as it did before it left for service despite the
battery, I would say the PDI service was excellent! I'll keep you posted
once it is back in my hands again!
