You don't have to write your email in computer Braille. When you send
the message, it is translated into plain ascii text.
The only things you have to write in computer Braille are: web addresses
(when you want to go on the internet and browse) and email addresses.
There is no capital sign in computer Braille. Computer Braille
characters must have a one to one correspondence with print characters,
so no Braille letter can take up more than one cell. Since a capital
sign would take up one cell, and the letter to which it refers would
take up another cell, you can't have capital signs in computer Braille.
However, if you are writing something in computer Braille, like an email
address, you can press space with u and then type the letter or symbol
you need.

Subject: [Braillenote] email question and computer braille

Hallo everyone. I'm confused about something. When you write an email
message, do you braille in computer braille or grade 2? I always thought
it was comfuter braille, so it would transfer correctly for someone
reading on a pc. However, last night i happened to have my speech on as
i was typing a message and as I hit dots 4-6 it said italics, not
peeriod. When i write the low D as a feriod, it says period. same with
comma which I thought was dot 6 in computer braille. And what is the
computer braille capital sign? Nobody has ever told me my punctuation
reads wrong, but a blind person reading with speech wouldn't necessarily
notice it, and print readehs may assume that I'm just a lousy jypist.
Help, cuz I feel like a real dummy.
