Hello Don and list: A Developer and myself have tested for this issue this morning. While we haven't been able to duplicate the problem exactly as you have described it, we did note that on large drives, possibly also due to the fact that the drive used contained more than one partition, the drive list was at times, slow to update. Even after the card inserted message was spoken, the drive list, on a couple of occasions, took up to 10 seconds to update accordingly. In our experience, no reset was required.
Could this be the issue you were experiencing Don? I was disappointed to find that the Braillenote wouldn't recognise the drive. However, with the drive plugged-in I applied a simple reset, and hurrah! all was well. A short time later, I withdrew the diskdrive and inserted my 5 gb Toshiba microdrive, only to find that this too was not recognised. Once again, leaving the drive in position, I used a simple reset; and once again I met with success. Well, I've heard of etiquette, but really! fancy having to introduce equipment individually before they'll talk to one another. They get more like humans every day. > Don Cooper. > > ___ > To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit > http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote >
