Hopefully the first thing you'll notice is that we're proud to run our own
list, we now hold voice chat sessions for customers to chat with us, and we
participate actively in discussion and try to answer questions. After sales
service counts for a lot.
I would be happy to chat with you further off list, as I'm sure would any
of the great team at Pulse Data Humanware. However briefly, the reason why
I became a BrailleNote user long before I came to work for the company,
despite being a confident Windows user, is that on a personal device, I was
looking for technology that would let me get information out of the device
and put information in as quickly as possible. When I first started with a
BrailleNote, I used the simple menu system and really extensive context
sensitive help, but as I grew familiar with my BrailleNote, I started using
all the powerful keyboard commands that could move me around the system at
high speed. Since I have owned the BrailleNote, its growth has included the
addition of a browser, the offering of a new motherboard to increase
functionality including an additional card slot and a faster hardware modem
as well as double the storage space, the adoption of Duxbury as its Braille
translator, a synchronisation utility that synchronises appointments and
addresses with Microsoft Outlook, a rewritten Planner that offers a very
friendly interface to recurring appointments, a stopwatch, an MP3 player,
and of course lots more is coming including wireless networking, full
network client support and a faster web browsing experience. And believe
me, this coming year is going to be a big one for the BrailleNote family. I
think though that why we've been able to stay leading the market even when
there is renewed competition is because of the intuitive user interface in
KeySoft.
