Hi Diane,

I have flown often with my Braille Note. I tell the TSA people that it is a
computer for the blind, open the case, show them, ask them to be careful
with it. I flew a couple months after 9/11, and I was traveling with the
Braille note I had at work, not my own personal one. It was in the newer
nice case, made to fit the BN, and they asked me to take it out of the case.
No problem They even put it back in the case and it was fine.

Check out the TSA website at

www.tsa.gov

for more info. Somewhere on the site is a link for travelers with
disabilities, where they talk about things like diabetic supplies and not
takers and dogs. I used to travel with those guidelines in my purse, till I
lost them once.

Subject: [Braillenote] FLYING WITH THE BN

Hi, List!

I am going back to Leader Dogs for my fifth dog on the 24th of this month. I
will be carrying my BNQT and other special equipment on board the airplane
and just wanted to know what to do at the security station. Do I allow them
to scan this equipment, or, do I not? If not, then what happens, or what
should I do? The other equipment is a color tester and a talking glucometer.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
