Dear Riana, If you try to exit the file without the CF card plugged in, you'll receive an error message saying there is no path in which to save the file. That's because the file is automatically saved to the drive it originated from.

The previous time when I used it, I left : the curser within a document on the cf card. However, when I switched : the unit on, without the cf card, I was still in the document which I : thought was only stored on the card and not returned to the main menu, : as I have expected. As I was in the book reader, I decided to : experiment on whether I'd be thrown out of the document when I start : reading, but I wasn't and it read exactly from where I left off the last : time. I went to the top of the document and then to the bottom, to see : whether the whole file was there and all 87 pages were. As it's tv : schedules for a month, I used the find command to locate the present : date without a hitch too. : : Does that mean that the file is actually copied to somewhere in a buffer : on the unit itself as soon as one enters it? If so, it will perhaps be : possible to save such file e.g. on one's flash disk, without even having : the card on which it is stored in the machine. : : Regards : Riana : : ___ : To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to : [EMAIL PROTECTED] : To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit : http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote : :
