Hi Stacey, On 17 Jan 2005 at 6:54, Stacey Robinson spoke, thus:

First, try advising your husband to turn on word wrap. This is the simplest and nicest solution to the problem. Second, when you are asked to set the options for your file, choose "Line" as the mode for saving the document. Your text files will now have forced line breaks at the right margin specified in the layout setup. I can't really recommend doing that though, because by saving the file with one paragraph per line you can choose your own layout according to preference (some terminals may be the standard 80 by 25, but others may be half that width and double that height). This paragraph-per-line is actually contrary to the usual method of presenting ASCII. The Microsoft Way, some people call it. It is good for all situations other than email (remember the problem I had reading email produced on BrailleNotes? Since people weren't wrapping their lines, the text I got would be split up as my mail system choaked after a maximum line length allowance, even if my mail program reformatted the inserted line breaks as spaces to keep the format preserved).
